Creating an API key

This section will help you create an API key so you can start creating with the Solace Vision plugin on Unity.

Once you create your account, you will be redirected to the dashboard page automatically that looks like this:

To create your API key, you will need to select a tier by clicking one of the "Join Now" buttons. We recommend everyone start off with our Free Trial, which is totally free of cost and will not charge you.

For authentication purposes, we do require a card be verified for your profile. Your card will not be charged for the free tier, and will only be charged if you upgrade to a paid tier.

Once you click Join Now, you will be prompted to input your card information for verification purposes. We use Stripe for our payments system, so your card credentials are secure.

Troubleshooting: If you see a "Error creating subscription" message, please try another card, or join our Discord and notify a support member with the "Team" role.

Once you input your details and click "Pay $0" you will automatically be directed to the dashboard screen that looks like the image below. To generate a new API key, click the "Generate new key" button that is highlighted here:

Once clicked, your API key will be generated within in a few seconds.

To view your API key, click the eye toggle.

To copy your API key, click the clipboard toggle.

If you need to regenerate your API key, you can click the "Re-generate key" button and a new API key will be generated for you.

Note: If you re-generate your API key, your old API key will be invalid and you will be prompted to input your new API key in the Solace Vision plugin upon opening it.

Congratulations! You are have now officially generated your Solace Vision API key. If you are experiencing any sign-up or login issues, please join our Discord and send a message in one of the channels, or feel free to message any of the members who have a "Team" role. Now that you have an account, it's time to download the plugin!
