Text-to-Voice

This section details the Text-to-Voice feature within Solace Vision.

Text-to-Voice

Solace Vision has the ability to Create voicing dialogues for characters within Unity, along with generate dialogue scripts.

Best Practices: If you have a lengthy character dialogue, it is best practice to split it up into multiple parts for the voice generator initially. This allows you to quality control the voice lines incrementally and avoids the problem of needing to regenerate a voice line multiple times for the desired output.

In this example below, the dialogue prompt is input into the "Text" box within the Voice tab in Solace Vision. The voicing line that will be output is "Hello, my name is Rachel!" with the Rachel voice selected.

Next, name the asset and then choose the folder location where you'd like to save it. Click save, and the asset will appear in the selected folder. An example is pictured below:

Once saved to the desired folder, click on the generated voice and the Inspector tab will open. Below is an example of what it should look like:

From here, you can change audio settings, quality, and playback the voice!

Tip: The Conversation tab within Solace Vision is a great tool to utilize character dialogue creation! In this example below, Solace Vision was prompted with creating a short introduction from an NPC in a medieval adventure game.
